A 72-year-old gunman, Huu Can Tran, committed suicide when the police approached him on Sunday. The Lunar New Year massacre at a dance club had left 10 people to spot dead and another 10 injured near Monetary Park, LA. Huu Can Tran was named the main suspect in the incident at a press conference by Los Angeles County Sheriff. Police claimed that Tran was the only suspect at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio, which ended without any casualties after two bystanders disarmed the suspect.

Although the number of weapons used in the shooting is unknown, police seized a semi-automatic pistol and discovered a handgun in the cargo van where Tran’s body was found.
